Cuisine : Dhido - How to prepare this Nepali dish

Dhido is a traditional Nepali dish made from buckwheat flour or millet flour. Here's a detailed preparation method:

Ingredients:

- 1 cup buckwheat flour or millet flour

- 3 cups water

- Salt to taste

Instructions:

1. Bring water to a boil in a heavy-bottomed saucepan.

2. Slowly add the buckwheat or millet flour to the boiling water, stirring continuously with a wooden spoon to prevent lumps from forming.

3. Keep stirring until the mixture thickens and starts to pull away from the sides of the pan. This may take around 10-15 minutes.

4. Reduce the heat to low and continue stirring vigorously for another 5-10 minutes until the mixture becomes smooth and dense.

5. Season with salt to taste, and continue stirring for a couple more minutes.

6. Once the dhido is thick and smooth, remove it from the heat and transfer it to a serving plate or bowl.

7. Serve hot with a side of vegetables, lentils, or curry.

Dhido is often eaten with lentils, vegetables, or meat curry, and it's a staple food in many Nepali households.
