Three consecutive wins.  In one, the opponent was blown away by five goals.  All in all, the unstoppable Uruguay reached the last eight of the Copa America.  They lost to the United States in a penalty shootout on Tuesday.  Uruguay secured three points by winning 1-0.  Mathias Olivera scored the winning goal.   La Celestera confirmed their place in the Copa America 2024 quarter-finals by beating Bolivia 5-0 in the last match.  However, the United States gave a tough match to Uruguay in the regulation match.  From fighting for possession to shots on goal - in almost every case, the two teams battled it out.  Even the same number of passes played by two teams!  But Uruguay had the last laugh.  They reached the knockout stages of the Copa America with nine points from three matches.  Uruguay played against host country America at Arrowhead Stadium today.  If they won today, the United States also has the possibility of reaching the last eight.  So from the beginning they started to play w

  The Netherlands secured an effortless victory against Romania, scoring three goals across two halves to win 3-0 and advance to the quarter-finals of the Euro Cup.   Belgium had to pay for the missed opportunity.  Scoring against France was not easy.  In between, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin  had two good chances.  But they could not score.  5 minutes before the end of the game, Belgium's Vertonghan scored a suicide goal while passing the ball.  Belgium left the Euro Cup with that goal.  France somehow won and made it to the quarter finals.  Despite being the strongest team in the books, both teams could not score such goals in the current Euro.  As a result, the biggest challenge for France and Belgium was to put the ball in the net.  No team played the Open from the start due to being knocked out.  They were attacking after keeping the defence solid.  Just as Belgium's goal responsibility rested on Lukaku's shoulders, so did France's reliance on Kylian Mbappe.  Mbappe wore a face guard in this match as well.  However, the face guard in this match was different from the previous match.  Coach Didier Deshon was playing him on the left

As the Euro Cup progresses, Spain are becoming more devastating.  They beat Georgia 4-1 in the pre-quarter finals of the Euro Cup on Sunday.  It also fell behind by one goal.  Georgia's dream run to the knockouts ended with defeat to Spain and a Euro appearance.  Rodri, Fabian Ruiz, Nico Williams and Dani Olmo scored for Spain.  Georgia's only goal was an own goal by Robin Le Norman.  Spain will play host nation Germany in the quarter finals.  Spain had control of the ball from the start of the match.  Alvaro Morata and Ruiz had chances early on.  But Georgia was desperate to defend.  Georgia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamadashvili saved Dani Carvajal's shot from a corner in the 6th minute.  But there was no talk of leaving Georgia.  They were always waiting for every attack.  Whenever a Spanish player lost the ball, Georgia were quick to attack.  They scored while doing that.  After 18 minutes, Khavicha Kavartskelia received the ball on the right.  He floated the ball into the box.
