In the first leg, Bayern had defeated Celtic 2-1 in Scotland. However, on Tuesday night in Munich, they fell behind after a goal from Nicolas Kühn. The game ended in a 1-1 draw, and with an aggregate score of 3-2, Bayern secured their place in the Round of 16.
Milan, the second-most successful club in Champions League history, played out a 1-1 draw against Feyenoord on Tuesday. However, their 0-1 defeat in the first leg led to their elimination. Santiago Giménez, who recently transferred from Feyenoord to Milan, put his new team ahead. But Milan faced a setback when Theo Hernández received a red card early in the second half. In the 73rd minute, Julián Carranza equalized for Feyenoord.
In Lisbon, the match between Benfica and Monaco ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw. However, with an aggregate score of 4-3, the Portuguese club advanced to the Round of 16. Meanwhile, Club Brugge secured their place by defeating Italy’s Atalanta 3-1. Youngster Chemsdine Talbi scored twice, helping Brugge win 5-2 on aggregate.
