Ingredients:
For Chicken Marinade:
- Boneless chicken pieces – 500g
- Egg – 1
- Garlic paste – 1 tbsp
- Dark soy sauce – 1 tbsp
- Kashmiri red chili powder – 1 tbsp
- Sichuan pepper – ½ tsp
- Mixed herbs – 1 tsp
- Salt – as needed
- All-purpose flour – ½ cup
- Corn flour – ½ cup
For Orange Mayo Sauce:
- Mayonnaise – 1 cup
- Mustard sauce – 3 tbsp
- Sweet chili sauce – 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp
- Fresh orange juice – 3 tbsp
- Orange zest – 1 tsp
- Spring onions (chopped) – ½ cup
Instructions:
- Wash and drain the chicken pieces well.
- In a mixing bowl, add the garlic paste, soy sauce, Kashmiri red chili powder, Sichuan pepper, mixed herbs, and salt to the chicken. Mix well.
- Beat the egg and add it to the mixture, ensuring the chicken is well coated. Let it marinate for 1 hour.
- Add the all-purpose flour and corn flour to the marinated chicken, mixing evenly.
- Heat oil in a pan and deep-fry the chicken until golden and crispy.
- To prepare the orange mayo sauce, mix mayonnaise, mustard sauce, sweet chili sauce, lemon juice, orange juice, and orange zest in a bowl.
- Toss the fried chicken in the prepared sauce until well coated.
- Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot.
