Italy shock France 3-1 in Paris to win their opening game in UEFA nations league , Belgium beat Isreal 3-1

Italy mounted an impressive comeback to secure a 3-1 victory over France in the UEFA Nations League, despite conceding a goal just 13 seconds into the match at the Parc des Princes.

Bradley Barcola, continuing his exceptional form this season, stunned Italy with an early strike. Seizing on a defensive error, he swiftly capitalized by powering the ball past Gianluigi Donnarumma, giving Les Bleus a 1-0 lead.

However, Luciano Spalletti's side responded with remarkable poise. They quickly regained their rhythm and came close to equalizing when Davide Frattesi struck the crossbar, signaling the pressure they would soon unleash. Italy finally found the breakthrough in the 30th minute. Federico Dimarco, with a stunning display of technical skill, executed a precise one-two with Sandro Tonali before volleying the ball into the net, leveling the score in spectacular fashion.

The first half saw both teams exchanging chances, but neither side could pull ahead before the break. Italy, however, seized control early in the second half. In the 50th minute, Frattesi finished off a swift counter-attack with a well-placed shot after receiving a pinpoint pass from Mateo Retegui, putting Italy ahead 2-1.

From there, Italy took command of the match, skillfully managing possession while continuing to threaten the French defense. Their dominance culminated in a third goal, effectively sealing the victory. Giacomo Raspadori capitalized on an incisive play from substitute Destiny Udogie, latching onto a through ball and calmly side-footing past the advancing goalkeeper in the 74th minute.

Italy's disciplined performance and clinical finishing ensured they emerged victorious, overcoming an early setback to claim a well-earned win.

Meanwhile Kevin De Bruyne scored a brace as Belgium ouplayed Isreal 3-1 in another game .  Isreal managed to restore parity after conceding a lead in the first half but Belgium's all round superiority saw them cruise to a comfortable victory.
