Australia cruise to 3-0 T20I series win over Scotland

 

After creating powerplay world record in the 1st T20I , Australia proceeded to beat Scotland  3-0 in the short 3 match T20I series . The 2nd game saw Australia batting first & putting on a big score of 196/4 . It did not look too rosy at the start as 1st game hero Travis Head was dismissed on the first ball and Jake Fraser McGurk could  score only 16 . However  Josh Inglis had other ideas . Batting at 3,   Inglis after settling down launched a fierce assault at the Scottish bowling, playing blistering strokes all around to score a breathtaking 103 off just 49 balls with support from Green (36) . Stoinis (20no) & David (17no) took the score to 194/4 finally . 


In reply Scotland were never in the hunt as they got dismissed for 126 runs with McMullen playing a lone resilient hand of 59   . Marcus Stoinis with 4 wickets was the most successful Aussie bowler . 


The 3rd T20I saw Scotland batting first and scoring a modest  149/4 with McMullen (56) again showing his class while Green took 3 wickets . In reply Australia lost their openers early but Marsh (31) and Green (62) took hold of the match as both hit some breathtaking shots for 6s . Man of the match Green got his runs in  only 39 balls . David (25) scored a quick cameo as the Aussies reached the target in 16.1 overs to win the series 3-0 .


Travis Head, Josh Inglis and Cameron Green were the stars of this series with solid back up by the bowlers & skipper Mitch Marsh.

Manipur violence : Video of brutality relating to women in Manipur goes viral

    Manipur is in the grip of ethnic violence these days, but now tension has spread in the hilly areas of Manipur over a video in which two women are being paraded naked.  According to reports, the video is from May 4 and both the women are from the Kuki community, while the men who are parading the women naked are all from the Meitei community.  Tribal organization Indigenous Tribal Leaders Forum has demanded action against the culprits.  According to the Indigenous Tribal Leaders Forum, the incident took place on May 4 in Kangpokpi district, about 35 km from state capital Imphal.  At the same time, no one has been arrested by the police in this case.  It can be clearly seen in the video that the men are continuously molesting the helpless women who are crying and begging them to leave.  Condemning this heinous act, an ITLF spokesperson demanded that the central and state governments, the National Commission for Women and the National Commission...
