Germany , England, Netherlands notch up convincing wins in UEFA nations league

 


Germany and the Netherlands secured commanding victories in the UEFA Nations League, with Germany thrashing Hungary 5-0 and the Netherlands overcoming Bosnia 5-2. On the same day, Greece and Albania also celebrated wins in their respective matches.


Germany's aggressive football completely overwhelmed Hungary. Although Hungary put up some resistance in the first half, they crumbled in the second. In the 27th minute, Niclas Füllkrug gave Germany the lead. Despite Hungary's efforts to equalize, they couldn’t break through Germany's resolute defense. In the second half, Germany showed no signs of slowing down. Julian Nagelsmann's team played with an aggressive strategy to secure victory. Jamal Musiala doubled Germany's lead in the 57th minute, followed by Florian Wirtz scoring the third goal in the 66th minute. With the score at 0-3, Hungary’s players seemed to lose hope, but Germany’s dominance continued. Aleksandar Pavlovic scored the fourth goal in the 77th minute, and Kai Havertz sealed the win with a penalty in the 81st minute, making it 5-0.


The Netherlands also enjoyed an easy win, defeating Bosnia 5-2. Joshua Zirkzee opened the scoring for the Netherlands in the 13th minute. Bosnia managed to equalize in the 27th minute through Armin Demirović, but they couldn’t maintain parity. In stoppage time of the first half, Tijjani Reijnders restored the Netherlands' lead, making it 2-1. After the break, the Dutch intensified their attack, with Cody Gakpo scoring the third goal in the 56th minute. Bosnia’s Edin Džeko reduced the deficit in the 73rd minute with a counter-attack, but the Netherlands remained in control. Wout Weghorst added the fourth goal in the 88th minute, and Xavi Simons netted the fifth in stoppage time to secure a comprehensive win for the Dutch.


Meanwhile two first half goals from Rice and Grealish was enough for Euro 2024 finalists England to beat Ireland 2-0 . It was a polished display by Harry Kane's team as they strive to win a big event . 


In another match, Greece comfortably defeated Finland 3-0. Fotis Leonidis scored twice for Greece, netting in the 23rd and 76th minutes, while Finland's defender Benjamin Källman scored an own goal in the 37th minute, further extending Greece's lead.


Meanwhile, Albania pulled off a surprise victory, beating Ukraine 2-1. Despite taking the lead in the 49th minute through Yukhym Konoplia, Ukraine couldn’t hold on. Albania responded with goals from Ardian Ismajli in the 54th minute and Jasir Asani in the 66th minute to complete their comeback.

Manipur violence : Video of brutality relating to women in Manipur goes viral

    Manipur is in the grip of ethnic violence these days, but now tension has spread in the hilly areas of Manipur over a video in which two women are being paraded naked.  According to reports, the video is from May 4 and both the women are from the Kuki community, while the men who are parading the women naked are all from the Meitei community.  Tribal organization Indigenous Tribal Leaders Forum has demanded action against the culprits.  According to the Indigenous Tribal Leaders Forum, the incident took place on May 4 in Kangpokpi district, about 35 km from state capital Imphal.  At the same time, no one has been arrested by the police in this case.  It can be clearly seen in the video that the men are continuously molesting the helpless women who are crying and begging them to leave.  Condemning this heinous act, an ITLF spokesperson demanded that the central and state governments, the National Commission for Women and the National Commission...
