Cuisine : Fritters - Steps to make this tasty item

 


Many of us have a habit of enjoying a savory snack in the late afternoon or evening. The craving at that time is often more about satisfying the taste buds than hunger. So, trying something new and exciting can be a delightful experience! If you have puffed rice and eggs at home, you can quickly make puffed rice fritters. Here’s the recipe.


Ingredients:


2 cups puffed rice


1 chopped onion


3 green chilies


½ cup chopped coriander leaves


1 egg


Salt to taste


½ teaspoon ginger powder


½ teaspoon garlic powder


½ cup gram flour (besan)


Oil, as needed



Method:


1. In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients together. Gradually add water to the mixture.



2. Once the puffed rice softens a bit, mix in the gram flour.



3. When the mixture becomes thick enough to hold its shape, take small portions in your hand and shape them into long fritters.



4. Deep fry the fritters in hot oil until they turn crispy and golden brown.



5. Serve the puffed rice fritters with tomato sauce or mint chutney.
