UEFA nations league : Germany win , Dutch salvage a point vs Hungary

Germany’s rebuilding efforts appear to be on a promising trajectory. In their 2-1 victory over Bosnia-Herzegovina, Denis Undav scored twice, extending Germany’s unbeaten run in the Nations League to three matches. Despite the retirements of key players like Manuel Neuer and Toni Kroos, the team demonstrated fluidity and confidence. With a blend of dynamic attacking moves and strong teamwork, they sit at the top of their group after a 5-0 win against Hungary and a 2-2 draw with the Netherlands.

Undav’s clinical finishing, paired with excellent assists, was central to their success. Florian Wirtz and Maximilian Mittelstädt were instrumental in the first two goals, while Bosnia’s Edin Džeko managed a late consolation header. Meanwhile, the Netherlands, down to 10 men after Virgil van Dijk’s dismissal, salvaged a 1-1 draw in Hungary thanks to Denzel Dumfries' equalizer. Earlier Roland Sallai headed in Hungary's lead from a cross in the 20th minute of the 1st half  after he hit the woodwork earlier with a low shot .

In other Nations League results, Ukraine ended Georgia’s unbeaten run with a 1-0 win, while the Czech Republic triumphed over Albania 2-0. Iceland drew 2-2 with Wales, Turkey defeated Montenegro 1-0, and Estonia won 3-1 against Azerbaijan.
