Australia obliterate Pakistan ,top group standings

The Aussie juggernaut rolls on . The hot favourites notch up their 14th straight T20I win as they crush a timid Pakistan by 9 wickets . However on the way two of their key players have developed critical injuries

Winning the toss and fielding  ,Aussies were dealt a tough blow as one of their quick bowlers Tayla Vleminck, injured her⁰ shoulder while trying to stop a boundary in the 1st over . She aleady had injury issues and this was another unfortunate incident .  Skipper Alyssa Healy quickly regathered her troops and the whole team was back into focus and what followed was  another ruthless bowling  that competely crushed a timid Pakistani batting team .

Wickets fell one after another as Pakistan dearly missed the spark of their original captain Fatima Sana who unfortunately had to rush home due to the sudden death of her father . The Aussie bowlers led by Meghan Schutt at the start followed by the spinners just kept taking wickets and only Aliya Riaz making a brave 26 with 3 fours . Acting captain Muneeba Ali fell for 7 , Nida Dar made 10. Opener Sidra Amin and Iram Javed scored 12 each . Ash Gardner snared 4 wickets to totally choke the middle order while Sutherland and Wareham picked 2 apiece as Pakistan could muster only 82 in 19.5 overs .

It was an easy chase and so it proved . Mooney (15) went cheaply but Healy (37*) and Perry (22*) ensured a smooth sailing with some sparkling shots before the Ausssies got a jolt with Healy pulling a calf muscle while running and now could be potentially out of the India game .

Australia won by 9 wickets and Gardner for her 4 wickets was the player of the match.
