Wimbledon'25 : Sinner, Djokovic Cruise; Krejcikova, Rybakina Exit on day 6

On the sixth day of The Championships at the All England Club, Jannik Sinner delivered yet another commanding performance on Centre Court, sweeping past Spain’s Pedro Martinez 6-1, 6-3, 6-1. The Italian star has continued his run of straight-sets victories, showcasing dominant form throughout the tournament. Unless he hits an unexpected dip, Sinner looks well on course to reach the final on July 13.

Novak Djokovic also advanced with ease, defeating fellow Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic 6-3, 6-0, 6-4. After a shaky opening-round performance, the seven-time Wimbledon champion has steadily improved with each match and now appears to be back in familiar cruise control, barring the occasional hiccup.

In the women’s singles, world No. 1 Iga Swiatek comfortably saw off American Danielle Collins 6-2, 6-3 in a routine win. However, the day was marked by two major upsets. Defending champion Barbora Krejcikova let slip a one-set advantage to lose 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 to American Emma Navarro. Meanwhile, 2022 champion Elena Rybakina once again failed to live up to expectations, falling to Denmark’s Clara Tauson in straight sets, 7-6(6), 6-3.
