IPL2026 : KKR Outclass careless SRH in Hyderabad to Seal Third Straight Win

In a commanding all-round performance, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) cruised to a comfortable victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on their home turf, ending the hosts’ five-match unbeaten streak in the Indian Premier League 2026.

Put into bat, SRH—boasting one of the most explosive batting line-ups this season—were restricted to 165 all out by KKR’s disciplined bowling attack. Despite a blistering 61 off 28 balls from Travis Head and a solid 42 from Ishan Kishan, the innings lost momentum dramatically after a strong start of 105/2.

KKR’s spin duo, Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy, turned the game on its head with their tight spells. Chakravarthy picked up three crucial wickets, while Narine chipped in with two, as SRH collapsed in a heap. Narine also reached a major milestone, becoming only the third bowler in IPL history to claim 200 wickets.

Chasing a modest target, KKR never looked under pressure. A brisk 29 off 13 balls from Finn Allen set the tone early, easing the chase for the middle order. Skipper Ajinkya Rahane anchored the innings with a composed 43, while young talent Angkrish Raghuvanshi continued his impressive run with a fluent 59.

Finishing touches were applied by Rinku Singh, as KKR chased down the target with ease, winning by seven wickets with 10 balls to spare.

With this victory, KKR notched up their third consecutive win, keeping their playoff hopes alive. Although they remain eighth on the table with seven points from nine matches, the momentum is clearly shifting in their favour.
