Heavy rains causes havoc in Dubai , Roads & airport flooded

 


Heavy rains in Dubai, United Arab Emirates have submerged the entire city. Due to heavy rains on Tuesday, Dubai International Airport also got flooded. In view of the flood situation, 15 flights going to Dubai and 13 coming to India (total 28 flights) were cancelled. Passengers have been warned not to come to Dubai Airport. Dubai International Airport is known as the world's busiest air hub.

Heavy rains have delayed or cancelled flight operations. Dubai Airport usually receives around 100 planes on a normal evening, but due to the conditions there due to climate change, the flights were diverted. Heavy rains have completely halted the activities related to normal life in this bustling city.


 Due to heavy rains, Dubai's roads have been damaged, water started leaking from the roofs, doors and windows of various houses. The effect of the storm has spread beyond Dubai. Along with the entire UAE, neighboring country Bahrain also got flooded. In view of the current situation, schools have been closed in the UAE. On the other hand, 18 people have died in Oman so far due to rain and storm. The situation has worsened in Bahrain also due to the storm.


Due to bad weather in Dubai, air services at Dubai Airport have been badly affected. In view of the situation, Air India has canceled flights to Dubai. Air India operates 72 flights a week to various cities of UAE including Dubai. Apart from Air India, Air India Express, Vistara Airlines and SpiceJet also operate flights to Dubai. An Air India spokesperson said that due to bad weather, it has been decided to cancel flights to Dubai on Tuesday and Wednesday. An Air India spokesperson said that we will operate flights for the affected passengers in the next few days. The airlines have also given a one-day discount on tickets dated 16-17 April. 


Unprecedented heavy rains occurred in Dubai on Tuesday, due to which normal life in Dubai was badly affected. There are flood-like conditions in Dubai. Dubai Airport is considered one of the busiest airports in the world, where 8.69 crore air passengers were handled last year.
