IPL24 : RCB gets a win vs SRH after 6 consecutive losses , Patidar dazzles

After losing their last 6 games back to back and 7 of their last 8 games , finally Royal Challengers Bangaluru gets a win and probably a help from the law of averages to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in an away game  by 35  runs

Winning the toss and batting , RCB's first intention was not to allow SRH to bat first & put on a high score . Thus  Faf Duplessis and Virat Kohli again started in whirlwind fashion striking dazzling boundaries & sixes in the powerplay with even the SRH skipper Cummins going for 19 runs in an over . Faf got dismissed after an explosive 25 in 12 balls while Kohli hit some dazzling strokes to get to 32 in 18 balls in the powerplay. After a 48 run opening stand RCB lost Jacks (6) cheaply but in stepped Rajat Patidar and played a whirlwind innings of 50 in a mere 20 balls , smashing 5 sixes that included some great hits specially against spin . Kohli however slowed down too much post powerplay getting only 19 runs in 25 balls and finally was dismissed by Unadkat for 51 of 43 balls . After Patidar heroics it was Cameron Green whose quickfire 37  with cameos from Karthik (11) and Swapnil (12*) helped RCB to amass 206 in 20 overs . For SRH , Unadkat (3/30) was the most succesful bowler followed by Natarajan (2/39) .

In reply SRH for a change had a poor start with Travis Head (1) getting out cheaply to off spinner Will Jacks as the catch travelled to third man . Abhishek Sharma (31) looked good for a while but his quickfire innings off just 13 balls ended to a slower ball from Yash Dayal. Markram (7) had another cheap dismissal as impact player Swapnil Singh had him lbw to a full toss . The sane bowler gave Sunrisers a bidy blow in the same over to dismiss the mighty Heinrich Klaasen (6) who was caught by Green off a skier . This led to loss of few more quick wickets with Nitish Reddy (13) , Samad (10) getting out cheaply . While Shahbaz Ahmed (40*) held one end with a solid innings, it was Pat Cummins who provided some  late entertainment with a 15 ball 31 but SRH was too behind in the game to make any comeback from there  and thus finally went down by 35 runs . For RCB  , Karn Sharma, Swapnil Singh and Green got 2 wickets each and Yash Dayal bowled very well to get 1/18 in 3 overs .

Rajat Patidar for his magnificent 50 in 20  balls was the player of the match  as RCB  reach to 4 points but still in the 10th spot with Sunrisers staying in the 3rd spot with 10 points .
