**Significance:**

Biswakarma Puja is a Hindu festival dedicated to Lord Biswakarma (Vishwakarma), the divine architect and craftsman. He is revered as the creator of the universe and the designer of heavenly palaces and weapons for the gods. The festival honors his contributions to architecture and engineering, symbolizing creativity and skill. 


**Celebrations:**

1. **Date**: Biswakarma Puja is celebrated on September 17th (or the day of the full moon in the month of Bhadra, according to the Hindu calendar), although the date can vary.


2. **Puja Rituals**: On this day, worshippers perform special pujas (rituals) to honor Lord Biswakarma. They clean and decorate their workplaces, especially factories, workshops, and vehicles, as a mark of respect. Offerings are made to the deity, including fruits, flowers, and sweets.


3. **Vehicle and Machinery Worship**: In industrial areas and among artisans, it’s customary to worship machines, tools, and vehicles. This act symbolizes respect for the tools that are essential for their work and seeks blessings for continued success and safety.


4. **Processions and Community Events**: In some regions, there are processions featuring idols of Lord Biswakarma, accompanied by music and dance. Community events and feasts are also common, bringing people together to celebrate.


5. **Festive Atmosphere**: Temples and workplaces are adorned with colorful decorations, and festive activities create a vibrant atmosphere. Traditional songs and prayers are sung, and people engage in communal meals and gatherings.


Biswakarma Puja is particularly popular in states like West Bengal, Assam, and other parts of eastern India, as well as among communities involved in trades and industries across India.
