T20I World Cup Preview , Squads & Schedule

The 10th edition of the ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup gets under way on February 7, with 20 teams competing for the prize. Featuring the world’s top teams and star players, the tournament is expected to deliver high-intensity matches, dramatic finishes, and unforgettable moments as nations battle for global supremacy in T20 cricket.

Defending champions & co hosts  India is putting on a strong side this time with multiple power hitting batters & a versatile bowling attack which can be lethal in any conditions . Led by Surya Kumar Yadav who himself is a breathtaking T20 exponent, the team possesses top class t20 players like Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan , Tilak Verma, Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh , allrounder Hardik Pandya, quicks Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh , Harshit Rana, spinners Varun Chakravarthy , Kuldeep Yadav , Washington Sundar etc. India with their own dept in bowling & batting  will definitely start as top favourites in this mega event.

Australia the 2021 Champions look a strong team too but missing the services of Pat Cummins.  Also in form Steve Smith is not considered.  Mitchell Marsh is leading the side as they have fine batting stars in Travis Head, Inglis , Tim David , allrounders  Green , Stoinis , Maxwell , Connolly & a good bowling attack of Hazlewood, Ellis , Bartlett , Zampa & Kuhnemann . Although not in their best of forms the Aussies always turns it on in big events .

England twice campions has a power packed team & looks well rounded with exciting T20 stars in skipper Harry Brook , Phil Salt , Buttler , Jacks , Bethel , All rounder  Sam Curran, Rehan Ahmed , spinners Adil Rashid, Dawsom & quicks led by Archer creates a formidable team. With the event being played in India ,England putting theit thrust on spin.

South Africa has recently played T20s in India so have recent memory of conditions.  They have some quality talented batters in this format . Brevis has become a big force  & DeKock playing well on return to national team .Skipper Markram , Miller , Stubbs , Rickleton provides excellent strength. Jansen is a proper fast bowling allrounder & so is Bosch. Rabada , Nortje provides quality in quick bowling & the spinners Maharaj & Linde are handy batters. So lots of batting depth & bowling skills in this team & they can challenge any team.

New Zealand too like the Proteas visited India recently & their batters Mitchell , Allen , Conway , Phillips & Siefert has great firepower as they provèd in India recently  . Bowling looks formidable with Ferguson, Henry , Duffy & Jemison as quicks & Santner leading the spin.  The Kiwis will be a tough force & potential semi finalists .

Twice Champs West Indies has a some firepower in their batting with Powell , Rutherford , Charles , Shepherd. Bowling is decent with Seales , Shamar Joseph, spinner Akeal Hosein & all rounder Jason Holder . However only better consistency which is their undoing can help them to go all the way but they remain a dangerous team.

Sri Lanka has a balanced team with capable players. The co hosts needs to have the belief that they can beat other top teams & they need to show consistency to pull off a semi final hiest . They may cause a few upsets but not backing them to go all the way .

Pakistan is not yet certain whether they are playing after their threat to pull out due to Bangladesh being dumped . They have a few skilled players in Saim Ayub , Shaheen Afridi & some spinners but they too like Sri Lanka needs to show belief in order to have a great tournament.

Other teams in this event can cause a couple of upsets at the most .
